Why Volunteer

We are casting HEROES to play major supporting roles to our STARS - the Special Olympics athletes! Join Team LA2015 as a volunteer!

We have been fortunate to receive a tremendous response to our call for volunteers --and thousands of applications were received! Our most critical needs for volunteers are:
  • Motor Pool Drivers: Please register as a General Volunteer by CLICKING HERE. Indicate on the registration form that you are willing to drive and include your Driver's License information.
  • Delegation Liaisons (DLs): If you speak fluent Arabic or Russian, CLICK HERE to learn more about the Delegation Liaison requirements and to register using the Delegation Services Registration Form.

Once you have registered, please email volunteer@LA2015.org to let us know which of the roles above you are interested in.

If you are not interested in either role listed above, you may still register but will be placed on a wait list. If a role opens up, you will be contacted. Please know there are many names already on our wait list, so we encourage you to get involved by participating with our Fans in the Stands program. It is very important that our athletes compete to loud cheers and encouragement coming from the bleachers, so we encourage you to register as a Team Captain and round up at least 10 of your friends or family members and become Fans in the Stands!
